Norse Paganism is a religion that revolves around the worship of the old Gods relevant to Scandinavians before Christianity was introduced to the world. Followers of this religion have always had a complex and somewhat magical view of the world. We believe life is centered around a sacred tree called Yggdrasil, which has branches supporting several realms, including the human world, Midgard, and the land of the gods, Asgard. We honor the seasons, nature, and the balance of the Gods and the world. Some of the most popular and well known deities in the Norse Pagan Pantheon include, but are not limited to, Odin, Thor, Freyja and her brother Freyr, Hel, Frigg and Loki.
We are a group whose primary purpose is to provide a space for Norse Pagans to gather and celebrate with fellow Norse Pagans. To be a member, you have to have an interest in learning about and worshiping the Norse Pagan gods. There is no minimum amount of experience with the Norse Pagan Religion required, but you will be expected to complete the 6 month "Hammer School" to be considered for membership.
To become a member you must:
Fill out the form found on the "Join Us" tab.
Complete a 6 month "Hammer School" where you will take a self-led crash corse on Norse Paganism and the basic beliefs and rules of the group.
Attend monthly meetings while in your 6 month "Hammer School" period.
Attend an interview with one of the leadership of the group to assess your membership request at some point during your "Hammer School" period.
Once admitted, attend minimum of 3 monthly meetings per year.
By joining Helderberg Kinfolk you will be welcomed into a community of likeminded individuals who gather to discuss, learn and worship the Gods. As a member of Helderberg Kinfolk you will be given access to resources and practices related to the Norse Pagan religion and be given a safe space to explore the stories and beliefs of the religion.
At this time. Helderberg Kinfolk does not require a membership fee to join.
